Title: Zookeeper Year Of Release: 2011 Review Date: July 31, 2012 Rating: PG Running time: 101 minutes Box Office Gross: $169,852,759 Site Rating: 1 out of 10 stars "Zookeeper" is the 2011 CGI film starring actors Kevin James and Sylvester Stallone. The film is about a reluctant zookeeper, who can communicate with animals, in a tale that is often corny and over the top. They play on the cuteness of the animals to carry the movie.
James' character, Griffin, bonds with a grumpy, standoffish gorilla, Bernie, who begins to tell him the source of his troubles and mean disposition. The themes in this film take from other copyrighted works to the point it becomes forgettable. It is a mishmash of unoriginality and dry, forced laughs. |
