Title: When In Rome Year Of Release: 2009 Review Date: October 31, 2010 Rating: PG-13 Running time: 91 minutes Box
Office Gross: The movie "When In Rome" is about a young art curator,
Beth, who goes to Rome for her sister's trouble prone wedding and ends up
falling for an old superstition, regarding throwing pennies into a fountain,
bringing one true love. Of course, it turns out to be a fable, but gets Beth into
trouble, when three very persistent and somewhat annoying men, believe they are
in love with her, as she retrieved their pennies from the fountain (that's what
she gets for being a thief). They follow Beth back to New York and purse her with a desperate
frenzy. However, Nicholas, who she also met in Rome, begins to pursue her as
well and in a more acceptable, less dangerous-stalker-like manner. However, Beth believes he likes her, due to the old
superstition, regarding the fountain. I won't ruin the film for you, but they
each learn not to follow silly superstitions, as it can ruin your chance at
love. This film was average and dragged in some parts. It had a few
funny jokes, but nothing outstanding. It was your run of the mill romantic
comedy.
