The packaging for the movie Uptown Girls gives the impression it is a family film, when it is anything but. This really was not a film for kids or teens, but it ended up with a PG-13 rating. The cover features talented child star, Dakota Fanning and "Clueless" actress, Brittany Murphy.

Murphy stars as an irresponsible, hippie that has to get a real job, due to loss of income. She becomes a nanny, who is responsible for a bratty, precocious child, played by Fanning. Yes, a child supervising a child.

The film has adult language and sex scenes, which will come as a surprise to parents viewing it with their children, which I do not recommend.

This film is the predecessor of the subsequent rip-off the Nanny Diaries.
