"Things We Lost In The Fire" is a sad drama starring actress Halle Berry "Audrey" and actor David Duchovny "Brian." The stars play a married couple hit with tragedy, when he dies in a violent incident that devastates his family, which includes two young children. Berry begins to rely on her dead husband's best friend, "Jerry" (Benicio Del Toro) a lawyer and recovering drug addict, for support.

The acting in this film was very good. Even the child actors were on point, which is sometimes difficult to accomplish due to youth and inexperience. This film took a few weird turns when Audrey tries to use Jerry to fill the void left by her late husband. However, it gets back on course for the end of the film.
