Site Rating: 7 out of 10 stars “The Aryan Couple” is a very powerful film. It speaks of the injustice and inhumanity that occurred when Jews were killed under Adolph Hitler’s bloody reign. The film features a distressed, victimized elderly Jewish couple, the Krauzenbergs, who sign away their successful business and assets, for safe passage away from the Nazis, to Switzerland.
The Vassmans A seemingly Aryan couple works for them as maid and butler. The couple is actually Jewish, with changed names, the Vassmans, working for the resistance, in a bid to poison Nazi leadership, set to dine with the rich, elderly Jewish couple. The Krauzenbergs sign away their palace, artwork, jewels, gold and business, that in today’s money would be worth several hundred million dollars.
Mr. Krauzenberg The constant “heil Hilter" throughout the film was positively cringe inducing, but historically accurate. This film was a sad reminder of how greedy, crazed, sycophantic and barbaric Hitler and co. were. Right is right and wrong is wrong and to act without conscience, is to betray
justice and decency. No man should be killed, imprisoned or robbed, because of his race or ethnic
background. To do so is to disrespect the God that made us all. Site note: This is another film about Nazis, where the characters curiously speak with an English accent, as previously mentioned here.
