Title: Surrogates Year Of Release: 2009 Review Date: July 31, 2010 Rating: PG-13 Running time: 97 minutes Box
Office Gross: Site
Rating: 2 out of 10 stars "Surrogates" starring Bruce Willis, is about a world, where robot
clones are built for people to live vicariously through them, whilst engaging in
risky and dangerous behavior, they normally would not participate in. This film
is a rip-off of Arnold Schwarzenegger's "The Sixth Day." The plot of "Surrogates" lingers over a group of people, appalled
at the idea of robot clones, labeling it unnatural. They take action to put an
end to the program - literally - via infecting the mainframe with viruses and
spyware. Spoiler Alert: Willis' character is actually
a prettied up, youthful FBI Agent, robot surrogate, being controlled by the
older, human version of himself. At least if need be, the robot could have
gotten a computer system together, unlike
the real FBI. This film wasn't anything special, just your run of the mill rip-off of a
project that was already done. The acting was average and the special fx
mundane. |
