"Super 8" is a movie about a precocious group of kids making a low budget super 8 film in Ohio and discovering something they are not supposed to - an alien escaping a cargo train, after an accident that is caught on tape during the amateur shoot.

What begins as a great accidental special efx shot courtesy of the derailed train, turns into trouble for the kids as they realize their group has stumbled upoin something the government is hiding. The young actors and actresses in the film did a great job, but this film was too gory. Not a great theme for the demographic.
