![]() Title: Garfield Year Of Release: 2004 Review Date: April 12, 2007
Running Time: 80 minutes Box Office Gross: $28, 246, 747 (US) 138,726,747 worldwide Recommendation: Funny family film, but your kids may not get many of the jokes. Site Rating: 7 out of 10 stars Garfield was a funny movie with sophisticated humor. To be frank, as funny as it was, I'm not sure most kids would get some of the jokes in this movie.
The film is set in England. Garfield, who is in London on vacation, bears a striking resemblance to a titled British cat that lives sumptuously and rules over animals in an English manor home. Side bar: this film is another reminder, albeit exaggerated, of how some people treat cats better than humans. You see it everywhere and to different degrees. There is a plot by a greed human heir to kill the titled cat for his inheritance. Garfield then attempts to thwart said plot. |
