"Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" is about survivors of a pandemic that kills a large percentage of the world's population. Human survivors encounter a group of apes in San Francisco resulting in a confrontation that leaves one of the animals wounded. Caesar, who governs the group of his fellow apes, decides to  address the matter.

"Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" is a somewhat strange film. It is very difficult to get into with unsettling scenes of violence. The idea of angry, surly talking apes who mimic humans is creepy.
