Welcome to Celluloid Film Review!

Title: Core

Year Of Release: 2003

Review Date: August 31, 2008

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 135 minutes

Box Office Gross: $31,111,260 (US) and $43,021,371 (worldwide)

Recommendation: I do not recommend this film.

The movie "Core" is about a disruption in the earth's magnetic field that threatens to end life on the planet.

A team is then put together to journey to the lava center of the planet and drop a series of nuclear bombs in the earth's core, to restart it.

Spoiler: This film was depressing. I didn't like it. It was more like a horror movie, though not its genre, with people getting picked off one by one, in a series of gory mishaps.

The movie started off okay, then went straight downhill. The only redeeming quality about the film is the expensive special efx. However, it's not enough to make this film good. I couldn't wait for it to end.
