"Brokedown Palace" is a good film about two young women that go on vacation to Thailand and meet another tourist, who unbeknownst to them is a drug dealer.
He uses the 18-year-old girls as drug runners, without their knowledge or permission. Through a series of sad circumstances, a serious Lemony Snicket for adults, if you will, they are arrested by the police and the story unfolds from there.
The script, sans a few words of profanity, is on point. The convincing acting and sets gave the movie an authentic feel. This film will scare some, as it carries a warning of the dangers of what happens when hanging out with the wrong people. |
