Site Rating: 5 out of 10 stars Alvin And The Chipmunks 2 was a mildly entertaining film that was not as good as its predecessor, with half the laughs. This time around, rather than finding fame, the Chipmunks struggled to keep it, while facing off against rivals, The Chipettes and attending high school, but not really fitting in. Well, they're not supposed to - they're Chipmunks. The Chipmunks adoptive dad, Dave, was given a minor role in the sequel, when he did play a part in the first film's success. They changed up the formula too much and it hurt this effort.
