Title: Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker

Year Of Release: 2006

Review Date: March 3, 2007

Rating: PG

Running time: 93 minutes

Box Office Gross: $21,533,577

Recommendation: Contains some mildly violent scenes without gore. A light comedy drama ala James Bond-lite.

Slick stunts and production and nice sets are the main selling points of this film. "Alex Rider" is about a 14 year old boy, of the same name, who gets drawn into British intelligence as a spy. A type of junior James Bond.

Devastated by the death of his uncle, Rider tracks his killer, only to be blackmailed in to becoming a British spy.

Alicia Silverstone co-stars in the role of quirky guardian. Mickey Rourke plays a greasy software company owner with plans to destroy Britain via a computer system with a…wait for it…virus…a real virus that will make people sick...literally.

14 year old Alex Rider, who was unknowingly trained for years by his late uncle, to become a spy, jumps into the fray.
